High School Work Experience

Work Experience is an elective class that provides students with credit for learning at their place of employment and for participating in weekly Work Experience class meetings.  All students must have a job to be eligible for enrollment in the Work Experience Education class.

Student’s employer must provide the student with Worker’s Compensation Insurance coverage, submit payroll tax withholdings, and provide a safe, moral, and legal environment. Students are responsible for finding their own jobs. Ms. Lisa, the instructor, will visit the students’ place of employment once a semester and/or communicate with them via email. 

 Students must have a current work permit on file and work a minimum of 15 weeks per semester.
