Get ready for a fun and exciting visit to the library! This 45-minute field trip is designed to spark curiosity, inspire a love of reading, and help students feel at home in the library.
We’ll start with a cheerful welcome in the storytime area, followed by an interactive storytime where students will enjoy a read-aloud and learn about the library and the many programs it offers. Next, students will take a guided tour of the second floor of the library, discovering where books live and how the library is organized.
To wrap up the visit, students will have time to explore books on their own, receive their very own library cards, and check out books to take home. By the end of the trip, students will leave feeling excited, confident, and ready to return to the library again and again!
Participants must be entering grades transitional kindergarten to 5.
